What Was I Looking At?

Work 6p-8a--154#

I went to the Dragon Door website to look up the men's requirements tonight and thought I'd just glance at the women's requirements. For whatever reason, I was placing myself in the 165# weight class, but if I'm looking at it right, at 154# I should fall in the 148-165# weight class. WOO HOO! That means I only have to do 40 16kg snatches. I'M THERE! I'm not sweating this nearly as badly now. WHEW!
Here are some more pics from last weekend. In the last two, D is trying to tell me how many years old he will be in a couple weeks. It's actually 3-years-old.

  1. It's great that you get to do the weight class you want... But I'd still keep up trying to smash the higher requirement. It'll have you more prepared for the work you need to do.

  5. Well, how many have you done? Chris has a good point, but there's no need to go overboard. Hit the requirements, and then nail PRs on your own time.

  6. Chris and Aaron, I will definitely not slack on trying to increase numbers--balancing that with not overtraining, of course, but at least now I don't have to sweat the numbers quite as much.
    Leslie,
Thank you for the kind compliment. :)
And, Dave, I didn't even think about that, but I do love the rockin' fingers. I think the reason he has such a hard time with it is that we taught him to do those and say "I'm rockin' out!" pretty early on.
