Some Things Of Which to Perpetually Remind Myself

Work 6p-8a

Try to be someone on whom others can depend, all the while understanding that there are few people on whom you can depend.

A little R&R is not only good for the soul, but occasionally the body needs some, too.

NEVER dye your hair; it wrecks the texture.

No good deed goes unpunished.

Christmas trees really are a lot of fun.

Call Mom and Dad. Everyday.

This, too, shall pass.

It can always get worse.

No good deed goes unpunished. (That was important enough to mention at least twice.)

  1. Sorry to hear about the "no good deed goes unpunished" my friend.

Hmmmm, I must say that my theory on hair is this: If I pay my hairdresser enough money, I NEVER have to know how much gray hair I really have. But I'm with ya' on much of the other stuff. Esp the "This, too, shall pass."

  2. I argued with the hubbie for a long time about the "no good deed" one, telling him how misanthropic it was. Time and again, though, the world proved him right. Knowing this does not prevent my continuing to prove it wrong. It does mean, however, that if I do a kind deed for you, I do it because I like you a great deal and expect nothing in return.

As for dying my hair, the theory right now is to gray naturally to a beautiful silver head of hair (ha!) like my grandmother had. We'll see how that goes when the gray really starts to come in. :)

  3. Yeah! uh-huh! That "..beautiful silver head of hair.." will last up to the time someone says to your husband..."is this your mom?" lol

  4. i think both of you ladies are nice enough on hte eyes not to worry about dying your hair but whatever..
and fuck yes, it can ALWAYS get worse.

  5. Okay, so you got me. If anyone ever confuses me for my husband's mother, I'll not only run for the stylist, but to the emergency plastics clinic.

  6. Thank you for your sweet words on my blog :). I don't mind if you stalk. I actually prefer it :).

I say always die your hair :). I have no idea what color my natural hair color is.
